Athena is often called "bright-eyed" or "with gleaming eyes" in the Homeric hymns and in Homer's poems. In the latest Swedish translation she is called "owl-eyed". It seems like the Greek word for owl has the same root as the word for gleaming. I thought it sounded so beautiful, so I started to use the words "owl eyes" and "owl-eyed" in my comic. ^^
