I won't be able to update the comic next week, so you'll get two pages this time. See you again the 25th!

This is where the story starts for real (and, yes, I know I've made a few spelling mistakes here, but I've been too lazy to fix them). :P

Their poses in the first panel come from this Mycenaean ivory figurine of what is believed to be two seated goddesses with a divine child: http://www.grisel.net/images/greece/women_child.JPG .

And I didn't make that up in the second panel. It's taken from a vase painting of a woman sprinkling phalluses with water or wine or something. Probably as a part of a religious festival. Phalluses were not always erotic symbols, but also used as good-luck charms and such in ancient Greece.
