I've seen different translations of the swallow song, but the one I have used is the one found in The Deipnosophists, Or, Banquet of the Learned of Athenaeus translated by C. D. Yonge. I've taken the liberty to change one word, though. In this translation the last sentence is "for we are not old men, but only boys". In Pär Sandin's translation it says "we are not old men, but only children". And since the word children includes girls as well as boys, I preferred to use that.
